It was the Twenty20 Cup in England in 2003. 35 matches were played but not a single century was scored. The 36th match of the tournament was played between Gloucestershire and Warwickshire.

Gloucestershire won the toss and captain Mark Alleyne opted to field first. Jonathan Trott scored 65 from 54 balls and Warwickshire posted 134/7.

In reply, Gloucestershire was off to a terrific start with Ian Harvey smashing the Warwickshire bowlers all across the ground. The Aussie's trans-Tasman opening partner Craig Spearman did not get much strike but whenever he got the strike, he made the most of it.

The pair added 96 before Spearman was dismissed for 23. Harvey continued to dazzle and he went on to score the very first century in the history of Twenty20 cricket. Harvey took 56 balls to reach his hundred.

He remained unbeaten on 100 and Gloucestershire chased down the total within 14 overs. Harvey would later go on to be the third highest run scorer of the tournament and this was the first of his three T20 hundreds.
