Highest Successful Run Chases to get 327 +

This is still the best run-chase by a team in ODI Cricket

Four years ago at the SCG, Australia chased down 334 against England which is the highest run-chase at this ground. Two weeks ago, Sri Lanka made 312 against the hosts while trying to chase down a target of 377. Given India’s chasing prowess, there is still hope for the men in blue especially when you take a look at these numbers. In fact, you will know that Australia have been at the receiving end on 7 out of the 11 occasions whenever teams have been looking to chase down big totals.

That clearly explains that they are prone to crumble under pressure while defending targets.

India and New Zealand are the only two teams to have chased a target of above 327 thrice in 50 overs Cricket. And on 5 out of those 6 occasions, the opponents were Australia who also faced South Africa’s wrath when the Proteas chased down 438 which remains the highest chased total in ODI Cricket.
