Stuart Broad becomes first cricketer from England to play 50 T20Is

The current England twenty20 captain, Stuart Broad has played his 50th match in the T20 format against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Friday.

He is the first player from England to achieve the milestone.

His made his debut on twenty20 format on 28th august 2006 against Pakistan at Bristol. He picked up 2 wickets in his debut match. His first wicket in that format was the wicket of the Pakistani, Shaoib Malik. He has taken 58 wickets from his 50 matches at an average of 22.98 and a strike rate of 18.3.

Apart from taking 58 wickets, Broad has also scored 106 runs at a strike rate of 110.41. His best bowling figures were 4 for 24 against New Zealand at Auckland on 9th february 2013.

Broad is 12 in the list of most matches in twenty20 internationals. Shahid Afridi is the first in the list with 70 appearances for Pakistan.
