Tim Paine's wife asks for Rishabh Pant's availability to babysit her kids

Bonnie Paine, the better half of Tim Paine, has posted yet another hilarious Instagram story while asking Rishabh Pant if he is free to babysit her kids for the day.

The story has come after Bonnie posted a similar cheeky story which did the rounds on the internet a few days back as the fans enjoyed the funny expansion of Pant-Paine banter.

The heart of the matter

A few days ago when the Indian and the Australian team gathered at the Prime Minister's official residence, we witnessed a new twist to the Pant-Paine banter as we saw Bonnie Paine, the other half of Tim Paine, posting a story with Rishabh Pant on Instagram.

The Instagram story acted as an extension to the friendly banter between Paine and Pant as Bonnie's story saw Pant holding Paine's kids. Bonnie captioned the Instagram story as 'Best babysitter.' The pic went viral as the fans loved the case which reiterated the fact that sledging is not always about abuses.

However, the Pant-Paine episode doesn't seem to end as Bonnie Paine has come up with yet another witty Instagram story where she has cheekily asked Rishabh Pant while tagging him in the story if he could babysit the kids for today.

"Trying to unpack with a needy baby. Wonder if Rishabh Pant is free for a babysitting gig today," captions Bonnie Paine her Instagram story.

The background

The 'babysitting' thing started after Tim Paine tried to sledge Rishabh Pant on the third day of the Boxing Day Test at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. In the third Test, the Virat Kohli-led team notched up a score of 443 for 7 (dec) in their first innings. In reply, Australia could only score 151 as Jasprit Bumrah ran through their batting lineup while picking up six wickets in that particular innings.

With a lead of 292 up their sleeve, India decided against follow-on and came out to bat again. However, Australia put up some fight in the second innings as Pat Cummins reduced the Indian team to 44 for 5 when the young left-handed wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pant, walked in.

The moment Pant took his guards Paine started to unsettle him with some funny comments from behind the stumps. Paine was also heard saying on the stump microphone, "Can you babysit? I'll take the wife to the movies one night. You'll look after the kids?" This very statement gave fire to altogether a different turn to the Pant-Paine banter as we got to witness the hilarious stories of Bonnie Paine.

What's next?

After having clinched the historic Test series win against Australia, the Indian cricket team will be moving to the ODI setup in a bid to conquer the Australians there as well.

BCCI has already announced the ODI squad for the series. BCCI has also rested Jasprit Bumrah while acknowledging his heavy workload in recent times. The ODI series will kick-off from 12th January 2019 at the Sydney Cricket Ground - the place where India created history a few days back.
