2. Lasith Malinga - 62 wickets.
Lasith Malinga is one of the greatest fast bowlers to have ever come out of Sri Lanka, especially in the shorter formats of the game. His round-arm action and subtle variations made it increasingly difficult for the batsman to pick him, enabling him to pick many wickets and help his side to victories.
Sri Lanka won 40 of the 68 games he was part of. During that period, he bowled 137.3 overs, conceding 929 runs and picked up 62 wickets at an average of 14.98 including a five-wicket haul.
Incidentally, he was also the captain of the Sri Lankan side which lifted the T20 World Cup in 2014. Needless to say, he is the leading wicket-taker for the island nation in the shortest format of the game with 90 wickets.
Of late, Malinga has not been able to replicate his performances with the ball and has struggled to retain a place in the Sri Lankan squad.
