India’s pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah was the leading wicket-taker in T20Is in 2016, picking up 28 wickets in 21 matches. Bumrah had an average of 18.82 in the year with a strike rate of 17 and a economy of 6.62.

Bumrah kicked off the year with 3 for 23 against Australia at Adelaide. Bumrah ended the year in T20Is with 2 for 26 in the washed-out encounter against West Indies in August, picking up the major scalps of Marlon Samuels (5) and Andre Fletcher (3).
