We have witnessed many incidents of Mankading in international cricket, but never in a World Cup. However, Keemo Paul took it upon himself to make it happen in the 2016 edition of ICC U19 Cricket World Cup. West Indies and Zimbabwe were engaged in a thrilling Group C match, with the winner guaranteed a ticket to the next round.

Chasing West Indies' 226, Zimbabwe were inches away from pulling off something spectacular. With one wicket in hand, Zimbabwe needed 3 runs off the final over. However, Paul decided to Mankad Richard Ngarava to help West Indies progress to the next round.

Eventually they went on to win the World Cup, and who did they beat in the final? India. As it turns out, Ashwin is not the only player featuring in the twelfth edition of IPL who was involved in Mankading. Paul is currently playing for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2019.
