Rohit Sharma, India's premier opener carried his sensational form from 2017 into this year as he ends the year as the second highest getter for the second year in a row. Rohit scored 1030 runs in 19 matches, including five centuries and three half-centuries. His highest score was a quickfire 162 against the Windies. Rohit Sharma once again proved his critics wrong after a poor first half of the year, by scoring four centuries and three half-centuries in the second half of the year.

The Indian run machine Virat Kohli has displayed tremendous form this year as he ends the year with 1204 runs in just 14 innings including five centuries and three half-centuries. He has scored his runs at a whopping average of 133 and a strike rate of above a hundred.

Kohli ends the year as the highest run-getter for the 2nd year in a row and the player with the highest average (minimum 600 runs) for the 3rd year in a row. His highest score this year was 160 against South Africa. He is well on the way to establish himself as one of the greatest limited overs batsmen to have played the game.
