People in India are understood to be very emotional and intense about what they do, and it isn’t very varied when it comes to their devotion for their idols, for some it has no limits. Such was the case when the British Airways had to face the fury of several fans of Sachin Tendulkar after the retired Indian cricket legend vented his disappointment on Twitter concerning his trouble with their poor service.
En route to Los Angeles for the third match in the Cricket All Stars, the 42-year-old tweeted about the British Airways airline that he had boarded, about the non-confirmation of the ticket of a family member despite seats being available and then on a personal note, expressed further anger over the luggage being deposited at the wrong destination and the authorities not showing enough concern about it.
The British Airways responded by apologising for the error on their part and asked the batsman for details to look into the matter. And, as they would usually follow up, they had to ask Sachin what the passenger’s full name was. Now mind you, they weren’t asking Sachin but the passenger who was travelling with the Indian batsman as he mentioned in his tweet. But, someone explain that to the fans.
A certain Anay Singh is one of those passionate fans who might take things overboard on moments. He could be 'a guy full of knowledge’ as he claims but I think we can all agree here that he shouldn’t be allowed on the internet.
While others might not have been as pressing as this guy, there were quite a few cutting and sarcastic digs taken at the British Airlines.
