Razor company Gillette has come out with a brilliant advertisement that showcases the emotion of the Indian cricket fan ahead of the World Cup. Every fan has his/her unique story and Gillette captures one heart-warming story beautifully in this 4-minute video.
It shows the story of a young cricket lover who lost his sight while playing the game he loved. However, he still ‘saw’ all of India’s ups and downs through the eyes of his son.
There was no emotion he missed – be it the euphoria after the 1983 World Cup win or the excitement at watching a young Sachin Tendulkar play his first game – till his son grew up and got married.
Despite his son’s absence, the old man is given a surprise by a former cricketer – Rahul Dravid – at the end of the video who requests to be his eyes for the World Cup.
