The Indian cricket team registered an enthralling victory in the third ODI against New Zealand in Mohali on Sunday. Chasing 286 runs to win, the Indian team lost both the openers within the first 10 overs and all the hopes were riding on the chase-master Virat Kohli and the captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni who promoted himself up in the batting order. The duo shared a partnership of 151 runs during the chase and ensured the Men in Blue take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Kohli, though, in the team’s training session a day before the match, tried mocking Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah. Kohli and Dhoni were rolling their arms in the session along with a couple of Indian bowlers. Virat seemed to enjoy the funny side of Bumrah's bowling action and the right-hander couldn't stop himself from imitating Bumrah’s bowling action.

Bumrah, who has an unconventional action that makes it difficult for the batsmen to read the ball, has been a reliable man with the ball for Indian team especially for his efficiency in death overs. His ability to deliver perfect yorkers has made him the go to man for Dhoni during crunch situations in the past few months.

Bumrah has a unique action of bowling that doesn't come naturally to any bowler. The right-armer hardly bends his elbow at the time of releasing the ball. Though the action is complicated and a bit risky, the Indian has looked very comfortable and has been effective.

During the bowling session on Saturday, Kohli ran-in to bowl after Bumrah, and to everyone's surprise he seemed to master the pacer's action. The team management and the players had a laugh at it while Kohli seemed to provoke Bumrah on a lighter note.

This isn't the first time that Kohli has shown his cheeky side on the field. The Delhi batsman has often put forth his humorous side during international matches and the third ODI between India and New Zealand witnessed a similar situation during the 20th over of the New Zealand innings.

Axar Patel was bowling to Ross Taylor and the in the second ball of the over, the Kiwi batsman went back and played a cut. He had timed it well and it was going quickly to Kohli's left at backward point and the Delhiite was swift enough to field the ball. Taylor had to come back and then Kohli with his tongue out, did some playacting with the batsman. MS Dhoni was even caught on the stumps saying ‘badiya bapu’.

With the amount of runs that Kohli is scoring lately, it's no wonder that the batsman is enjoying his time on and off the field.
