Wasim Akram interrupted during a live show in Mumbai

Wasim Akram

Pakistan bowling legend Wasim Akram was interrupted during his post-show to an Indian news channel Aaj Tak, following India’s memorable win over Australia in Mohali on Sunday.

The 49-year-old was present at an outdoor setting in the Lower Parel area of Mumbai, where while airing his views about Virat Kohli's superlative effort that helped the hosts win and book a semifinal spot in the 2016 ICC World T20, one man came into the camera frame and appeared to grab the camera before the TV screens flashed back to the television studio.

Incidentally, it was the same man who had opposed to the filming of the show in the area, one of the employees of the TV channel, was quoted as saying to ESPN Cricinfo.

He was the sole person who was involved in the incident and was also apparently, involved in a similar incident, in the past, involving the disruption of coverage on another TV show, where former India left-arm spinner Murali Kartik was an expert.

Fortunately, Akram was neither heckled nor caused any physical harm to by the man in any form.

Both the anchor of the show as well the former fast bowler tweeted about the incident later on.
