What's the story?

After having clinched the recent series Test and ODI series against Australia Down Under, India are all set to lock horns against the Kangaroos again this month. In light of the upcoming series against Australia, Star Sports - the official broadcaster for the coming series - has released an entertaining promo which features the former Indian opener Virender Sehwag.

The funny and intriguing promo is doing the rounds on the internet as it shows an extension of the whole episode of 'babysitting' that took place between Tim Paine and Rishabh Pant.

In case you didn't know...

The 'babysitting' thing started in the Test series between India and Australia where the corresponding wicket-keepers of both the teams involved in friendly banter with each other. To kick-off, Australia captain referred to Pant as a 'babysitter' and invited him to babysit his kids. In reply, when Paine came to bat, Rishabh addressed Tim as a 'temporary captain' while giving an extension to the banter between them.

The episode took a new turn as Bonnie Maggs Paine, the better half of Tim Paine, posted an Instagram story where Pant was seen holding the Paine's kids. The story soon became viral on the internet as the fans loved it while calling it good humour.

The heart of the matter

Star Sports released the hilarious promo for the series on Twitter. The promo involving Virender Sehwag shows yet another funny side of the former Indian opener. In the promo, the Nawab of Najafgarh is seen holding a feeding bottle. And, when the camera focuses in, Sehwag is heard saying, “Kya? Babysitting Karne Jaa Raha hu” (What? I am going to babysit).

The promo is attributed to the funny banter between Pant and Paine that unfolded in the Test series between India and Australia. The promo ended with a footnote referring that Star Sports will be releasing the full video soon.

Star Sports didn't disappoint us as the broadcaster soon released the full advertisement wherein the Sultan of Multan was seen playing and feeding a baby with the bottle. With the humorous advertisement, Sehwag welcomed the Australians for the T20I and ODI series.

What's next?

Australia's tour of India will kick-off from 24th February with a T20I game at Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. Australia and India will be playing two T20Is and 5 ODIs between them with the ODI series commencing on 2nd March at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
