Babar Azam has been terrific for Pakistan in ODIs averaging more than 50 in the format and thus expectations were high from Pakistan's best batsman. Azam did not let his team down and mustered 474 runs in 8 matches at a phenomenal average of 67.71.

He also scored one century and three half centuries in the tournament and was Pakistan's highest run-getter. Unfortunately, Azam's efforts weren't enough to take Pakistan to the semi-finals.

All eyes were on the likes of Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope but one youngster who impressed the most from the West Indies campaign was Nicholas Pooran. Pooran scored 367 runs with an average of 52.42.

However, the most impressive part of Pooran's stats was his high strike-rate of 100.27. It's never easy to come in the middle overs and maintain such a high strike-rate but Pooran was aggressive in his approach and played some attacking knocks.
