#1 Kohli's gesture towards Smith in World Cup:

Steven Smith faced a one-year ban from Cricket and a lot of criticism due to the sandpaper gate scandal. The right-handed batsman announced his comeback in some fashion in this World Cup. The English fans booed him in Australia's warm-up game against England and in other matches too.
Some of the Indian fans also tried to boo the Sydney-born batsman during the second match of the 'Men in Blue' against Australia. The Indian captain Virat Kohli didn't like their unhealthy action and asked them to cheer for the Indian Team instead of booing the 30-year-old batsman.
When Kohli was asked about his wonderful gesture, he said -
"There are so many Indian fans here, I just didn't want them to set a bad example, to be honest. He didn't do anything to be booed, in my opinion. He's just playing cricket. I mean he's just standing there and I felt bad because if I was in a position where something had happened with me and I'd apologized and accepted it and I came back and still I get booed, I wouldn't like it either."
