Even though damage dealers are the most important in Genshin Impact, they unleash their true potential with support characters. While some support characters like Xingqiu help with the Elemental application, others like Bennett are known for buffing party members' attacks.

In prominent Spiral Abyss teams, it is common to find the likes of Bennett, Kazuha, Mona, or Sucrose. This is because these characters are great at increasing the overall damage output.

Here are five of the best support characters for burst damage showcases in Genshin Impact. The characters aren't ranked, as their buffs depend on other factors like builds, team compositions, artifacts, and weapons.

Five best buffers in Genshin Impact

1) Bennett

It is no surprise that Bennett is the first name on this list. He is a must-have character for any player and can be built with a high base ATK Sword and a four-piece Noblesse Oblige set.

With his Elemental Burst, Bennett buffs the ATK of a character within the AoE. This bonus is based on his own Base ATK.

Any damage dealer can utilize Bennett's ATK buff unless players have activated his sixth constellation.

2) Kazuha

Kazuha is easily one of the best support characters in Genshin Impact. With his Elemental Burst, he initially dealt with AoE Anemo DMG and then created an Autumn Whirlwind field.

Autumn Whirlwind has Elemental Absorption properties. If the field comes into contact with Hydro/Pyro/Cryo or Electro elements, it will deal additional elemental damage of that type.

With one of his passive talents, Kazuha also gives an Elemental Damage bonus to his teammates based on his Elemental Master's. Hence, he should be built with a ton of EM.

3) Sucrose

Sucrose is a severely underrated four-star unit that is finally gaining some recognition for her crowd-controlling and damage buffing abilities.

With her Elemental Burst, Sucrose pulls enemies close and first deals Anemo DMG. She then summons a Wind Spirit that works similar to Kazuha's Autumn Whirlwind and buffs the overall elemental damage. Yet again, this Anemo character should be built with a high amount of Elemental Mastery.

4) Mona

Mona belongs to one of the most underrepresented elements in Genshin Impact, Hydro. She's a part of the Standard Banner, which is why many players underestimate her importance as a support unit.

Mona summons an Illusory Bubble with her Elemental Burst and applies the wet status to enemies. When an opponent inside the AoE takes damage, she uses an Omen which gives a DMG bonus. Moreover, the damage caused by ATK that triggers the Omen is increased.

Omen stays on the field for 5 seconds, enhancing the damage taken by opponents.

5) Kujou Sara

This does not undermine Sara's unique playstyle, but she works like an Electro version of Bennett.

With her Elemental Skill and Burst, Sara summons a small AoE called Tengu Juurai that buffs the ATK of characters based on her Base ATK.

At C0, players will have to use a Charged Attack after Sara's skill to activate the buff. However, the need for the Charged Attack was removed with her second constellation.

At C6, Kujou Sara became the ideal support character for Electro units. The Crit Electro DMG of characters buffed by her Elemental Skill has increased by 60%.

This explains why Kujou Sara and Raiden Shogun are constantly used together, especially with the former's sixth constellation activated.

Luckily, both Kujou Sara and Raiden Shogun are available in Genshin Impact version 2.5. After that, players can look forward to the arrival of Ayato in patch 2.6.
