Apex Legends Update 1.1.1 Fortifies Gibraltar and Caustic, Wingman and Spitfire Magazine Size Reduced
Apex Legends was the first battle royale game after Fortnite Battle Royale, which climbed the battle royale genre ladder faster than any other game. Apex Legends has millions of players concurrently playing the game on a daily basis.
The game's ongoing season 1 brought a brand new character along with some super cool abilities. Apex Legends is famous because of its legends, or in simple words, its player characters. Some of the legends are quite good and overpowered while the others are quite easy to kill all due to their huge frame, hitboxes and slow movement.
Characters like Gibraltar and Caustic are prime examples.
Apex Legends players have been complaining about the hitbox problem regarding big characters. Respawn first responded to their community with an update that didn't work well. They launched another update, and this time, it included an easier approach to the problem.
Apex Legends update 1.1.1 brought Caustic and Gibraltar a new defensive attribute called "Fortified", that reduces the incoming damage by 10 %. Meanwhile, they also buffed up Gibraltar's shield by a marginal amount. The ammo count of guns like wingman pistol and spitfire machine gun was slightly reduced to balance the game.
Apex Legends developers have been supporting the game while listening to the community which has resulted in a positive response. Although there were players who found innovative ways to tackle the aforementioned problems, Gibraltar and Caustic had a major hitbox which made them an easier target.
