Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok is the third major expansion of the title. The expansion builds upon the mythological story introduced in the base game and takes the series in new directions.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the latest installment of the decade-and-a-half-old iconic stealth-action franchise that takes the series to the Viking era of 9th century England. Players take on the role of Eivor of the Raven Clan as she and her brother Sigard try to find a new home for the clan.

Dawn of Ragnarok follows Havi, the leader of Asgard, as he travels to Svartalfheim in search of his son Baldr. There he finds that the local Dwarven empire has been overrun by the fire giant Surtr and his band of Muspels.

How many Dwarven Shelters are there and how to find them in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok

The Dwarves of Svartalfheim play a major role in the narrative of Dawn of Ragnarok. They drive the main story forward and provide support for Havi as he fights the Muspels and Surtr to liberate Svartalfheim.

There are a total of four Dwarven Shelters and they act as a hub area for Havi. in the Dwarven Shelters, Havi can find shops to trade with, a blacksmith to upgrade armor and weapons at, and a tattoo artist to get new tattoos and haircuts at.

The four Dwarven Shelters in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarok are fairly scattered. Two of them are in the Gullnamar region, while there is one each in the Svaladal and Vangrinn regions. The first Dwarven Shelter in the Gullnamar region is discovered as part of the prologue. After Defeating Sinmara, Sigrun and Halstein lead Havi through the forest of Svartalfheim and teach him how to find a Dwarven Shelter.

In the map, the general area of Dwarven Shelter is generally marked with house-like symbols, which becomes more precise as Havi uncovered the general vicinity either by syncing viewpoint or traveling to the area.

As the Dwarven shelters are hidden quite well, so that the Muspels don’t find them, Havi has to look for orange markers in the area, denoting the way to the nearby shelter. Orange marks are generally marked on wreckage or rocks but might be quite a bit camouflaged in the environment. Havi can easily ping them using Odin Pulse near them. Following the markers will lead Havi to the Dwarven Shelter.

With that being said, here's a look at the four Dwarven Shelters and where to find them.

Jordber Shelter in Gullnamar

  • The Jordber Shelter is the first one Havi discovers in the Gullnamar region during the prologue. The shelter is located on the side of a mountain, that can be accessed through a long winding road.

Grenhellir Shelter in Gullnamar

  • The Grenhellir Shelter is quite close to the Jordber Shelter. In fact, players will most likely go to this shelter right after the prologue. This shelter is located underground, and to access it Havi has to jump through a hole and follow a corridor to find his way to the shelter.

Jordeygr Shelter in Svaladal

  • Jordeygr is another shelter located underground in the Svaladal region. Players need to jump into a pool and then they will find their way to the shelter.

Hodda Shelter in Vangrinn

  • The Hodda Shelter in Vangrinn is perhaps the hardest to find. It is located on the side of a mountain, which players will find following the directional arrows. After reacher a lake, players will find the shelter tucked away on the mountainside.

All in all, the Dwarven shelters play a major role in Dawn of Ragnarok, and finding them should be the first objective for the region.
