Assassin’s Creed is one of Ubisoft’s most celebrated franchises which has been gaining a staggering number of fans since 2007. The games in the franchise are open-world, action-adventure, with stealth, and follows the narrative of a different protagonist with a different setting with each entry in the franchise.


In the majority of the games, players control a historical Assassin, while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story.It has featured twelve main games in total.


The main games of Assassin's Creed are set in an open world and are from a third-person perspective. Gameplay revolves around combat, stealth, and exploration, including the use of parkour to navigate the environment. The games feature both main and side missions, and some titles also include competitive and cooperative multiplayer game modes.


Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was the latest title to hit the franchise and was released officially in 2020. It’s the 20th major installment that follows the story of Eivor Varinsdottir, a Viking who leads her brethren against the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms.


The next Assassin’s Creed, which is reportedly called Infinity, is yet to have an official release date but is expected by many to have a 2022 launch period.
