After the Premier League ratings refresh, it's the Bundesliga's time now

What's the story?

EA Sports recently announced the release of the Premier League ratings refresh that featured some of the English League's top stars receiving rating updates according to their respective performances on the pitch. Now, it's the Bundesliga's turn to take centre stage with a number of players receiving upgrades in Germany's top division.

This year will see no downgrades in ratings, making the ratings refresh one for the players to appreciate, and just like in the case of the Premier League, the Bundesliga has a few surprises as well.

In case you didn't know...

The ratings refresh has become somewhat of a staple around this time every year with FIFA looking to keep in touch with reality and give FUT fans an opportunity to line players up based on their recent performances for their respective clubs.

The heart of the matter

Some of the most notable upgrades in the Bundesliga ratings refresh come from the current league leaders Bayern Munich. The Bavarian outfit has a major upgrade for centre back Mats Hummels who jumped one point to 89 from his previous rating of 88. Joshua Kimmich has been in fine form this season and the German has been rewarded with a three-point leap to 84 while centre-back Niklas Sule has also gone up a point to 84. At the attacking end for Bayern, Kingsley Coman has improved three points to 82.

Other key updates include a one-point upgrade for Leipzig striker Timo Werner to 83 and a two-point jump for Schalke defender Naldo to 84. Notable by his absence is Bayern's midfield star James Rodriguez who surprisingly does not feature on the list.

What's next?

FUT fans should keep their eyes firmly on the ongoing updates to see which players are next on the ratings refresh list.
