At this point, the majority of popular Pokemon have been introduced to the game. They can be caught, traded, battled with, or just let loose to walk along with the in-game player model. One of the most popular Pokemon in the game is Togepi.
How to get Togepi in Pokemon GO
Togepi is a fairy-type baby Pokemon. Togepi evolves into Togetic which then evolves into Togekiss. Currently, Togepi does not appear in the wild in Pokemon GO. The Johto region's cutest little pocket monster can only be obtained by hatching an egg or accepting it during a trade with another trainer.
Eggs in Pokemon GO
Eggs have four different groups in Pokemon GO, corresponding with how far a player needs to walk in order to hatch them. The egg groups are 2km, 5km, 7km, and 10km. Each group has a different list of Pokemon that will hatch from those eggs.
When it comes to Togepi, players will need to hatch a 7km egg. Until further notice, all egg distances are actually cut in half due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This makes hatching the 7km egg a lot quicker. At times, events will be run that either switch up Pokemon found in certain egg groups, or make the distances even lower. Taking advantage of these reduced distances with an Incubator will double down on that quickness.
Unfortunately, there is no way to determine what Pokemon will arrive when an egg hatches. Therefore, Pokemon GO players will have to keep on hatching the 7km eggs they have until they hit the jackpot. Eventually, Togepi will appear, and the cute fairy Pokemon will be your new best friend.
