Helldivers 2 leaks suggest new Illuminate units coming soon

Super Earth may have been saved from the Illuminate invasion, but according to new Helldivers 2 leaks, Autocratic forces are once more gathering. They are apparently regaining strength in the shadows, and likely rebuilding what was lost to once more attack the very foundation of Democracy - Super Earth.

A leaker who goes by @Iron_S1ghts revealed some classified and somewhat sensitive documents, which show the return of an enemy first encountered in the First Galactic War. Here is more on the topic at hand.

Helldivers 2 leaks showcase new Illuminate Illusionist Cultist and Heavy Harvester unit

The Illuminate may have been beaten, but they are far from being defeated. After their invasion of Super Earth failed, they ran back to their hiding holes to regroup. A Major Order was issued to pursue and hunt down the survivors, but it would seem that it made little difference.

Based on new intel, the Illuminate are bringing out the big guns, or should we say "Autocratic Cultists!" As showcased by @Iron_S1ghts, we can see the Illusionist Cultist wreaking havoc on the battlefield. According to the information shared, this entity can summon a variety of units and possesses a wide range of "Void Magic" abilities. When dispatched, it does a quick ritual and disappears in an explosion.

On the battlefield, this entity will likely be a high-value target for Helldivers to eliminate. I reckon one good Orbital Railcannon Strike should be enough to take it down. However, if things go out of control, the Orbital 380mm HE Barrage would be a better option. Just remember to warn your teammates (if possible) to avoid collateral damage (but no worries, Helldivers can be replaced, should you need aid).

According to the Helldivers 2 leaks, another behemoth of an Illuminate unit, the "Heavy" Harvester, will also be joining the fray. Much like regular Harvesters, this one is also a tripod, but is more heavily armored. On a good day, it takes two rounds fired from FAF-14 Spear to bring down a Harvester — one to take out the shields and another to destroy the unit itself.

The "Heavy" Harvester may be able to withstand a direct hit to it, which will make your job much harder. But stay steadfast, for the mightiest of enemies can be dominated (alongside your teammates at times, unfortunately) if you form a firing line to deal with larger threats.

Other Illuminate-related Helldivers 2 leaks

Helldivers 2 leaks have also suggested that Illuminate are invading cities on other planets. Following their failed attempt at invading Super Earth, they've turned their sights on smaller targets. It is unclear when, but soon Helldivers will be tasked with removing this surface nuisance and retaking Mega Cities. It'll also give you the perfect excuse to buy the Force of Law Warbond.

Lastly, Helldivers 2 leaks have also showcased new Illuminate beams being added to the game files, which will likely be used by the Illusionist Cultist and Heavy Harvester. Remember to hide behind a rock Democratically and take cover, and then shoot back at the Autocratic Oppressors for maximum effect. Standing in front of an incoming beam will only slow down the war effort by having to reinforce your squad.
