Adin Ross has been struggling with depression for some time now. The streamer had stated in the past that he had been involved in controversies and had partaken in offensive commentary because of his depression. For example, the streamer had come under scrutiny for stating that his preferred pronouns are "kill/them".

Adin Ross has been going through a tough period since the tragic passing of his close friend Quatty from a heart attack in early November 2023. Adin also talked about how he felt "nothing" after his passing, clearly reeling from the shock of the situation.

In his most recent stream, he once again picked up how he was not doing well mentally and mentioned a few reasons he suspects may have been causing it:

"It's really bad. It could be diet. It could be poor gym. Scheduling? It could be- I don't know what it is. I need to travel. I don't know what it is."

Further, Adin Ross revealed that he had reached out to his known ones, and none texted him back other than fellow Kick streamer Cuffem. According to him, others did not take him seriously and considered him a "happy camper" because he was always smiling and laughing on camera:

"All I know is I asked out and reached out to a bunch of people and the only one who actually texted me back was Cuffem. The only person. They didn't take me seriously. People think that I'm just a happy camper 'cause I put on a smile and laugh all day, right? No. Okay?"

He finished by stating that he was reaching out because he did not know what to do and made a reference to the people who told him he would figure it out since he had money.

Also, he expressed his desire to have a good stream and talk about his mental health off-camera:

"It's the truth. Reaching out 'cause I don't know what to do. But I'll figure it out, right? 'Cause they say, 'Oh, you have millions of dollars. You'll figure it out. Let's have a good stream today though, all right? I'll talk about it off stream. I know you guys don't give a f**k about my problems."

Many users were not so empathetic, with many replying to a DramaAlert post on X regarding the topic:

This is not the first time Adin Ross has talked about his mental health. In April 2023, the streamer opened up about his addiction to lean. He spoke about the various physical symptoms he faced because of withdrawing from the drug in the past.

He also expressed the various personality and behavioral changes he faced as a result of the drug, describing himself as becoming a "really bad person". Many fans speculate that this may have been the cause of his deteriorating mental health.
