Mortal Kombat 1 was just revealed yesterday, and an alleged leak revealed the first DLC cast of Kombatants. This leak was caught via an Amazon Italy listing for the upcoming brutal fighting game. It has since been cleared from the post about MK1. If true, some exciting fighters are heading to the game when it launches in September 2023.

However, it's worth pointing out that this leak must be taken with a grain of salt. It is all conjecture until Warner Bros. Games or NetherRealm Studios confirm these characters' existence.

Mortal Kombat 1's first DLC batch may have already been leaked

This leak came courtesy of a retail listing for the upcoming game. Two versions of Mortal Kombat 1 will grant early access to a series of characters known as a Kombat Pack. This batch of DLC characters was not in yesterday's trailer, but Amazon Italy may have accidentally leaked it.

The website featured a group of names that will allegedly be the first Kombat Pack for the fighting game. One of these characters, Homelander, had been teased as a potential DLC character well before the game's trailer went live.

DLC characters

  • Quan Chi
  • Omni Man
  • Ermac
  • Takeda
  • Peacemaker
  • Homelander

Homelander, Peacemaker, and Omni Man are well-known superheroes that don't hesitate to go to extreme lengths to keep the peace as they see it. If true, they would be perfect for a gruesome, brutal game like Mortal Kombat 1.

Ermac, Takeda, and Quan Chi are familiar fighters that have appeared in the series, with Takeda being the youngest, only appearing in MK10 and MK11. Ermac's first appearance in the franchise was in Ultimate MK3.

He was rumored to exist far before that. Quan Chi is a powerful sorcerer, hinted at in the game's lore in Mortal Kombat 2, but it didn't become playable until MK4. Unfortunately, these characters are all in an alleged leak and cannot be confirmed.

Mortal Kombat 1 is an upcoming fighting game from Warner Bros. Games and NetherRealm Studios on September 19, 2023.
