The three-week intense grind of the league stage of the PUBG Mobile Pro League(PMPL): SouthEast Asia Championship Fall 2022 came to an end yesterday.

Another veteran Thai squad, Faze Clan, secured second place. The team initially started off on good footing but fizzled out during the second week. However, the squad picked up the pace and finished strong in the final week, ending their League Stage campaign with 587 points and 285 kills.

TEM Entertainment claimed the third spot in the League Stage overall leaderboards. Overall, the Thai squad tied with Faze Clan, and both teams had the same number of points (587). The squad also managed to secure a whopping 289 frags in the process.

The top 16 teams in the overall standings qualified for the Grand Finals of the championship, and four teams at the bottom were eliminated from the event.

  1. Box Gaming (Vietnam)
  2. Don't Break Dreams (Malaysia)
  3. SEM9 (Malaysia)

These four teams failed to perform during the three weeks, and only one of them was able to reach 150 points in a single week.

Malaysian and Vietnamese squads SEM9 (311 points) and BN United (300 points) had an especially horrendous outing as they finished in the 19th and 20th spots, respectively. These teams will be looking to learn from this experience and bounce back in the next season of PUBG Mobile Esports.

The Infinity also topped the charts for the bonus point standings. The team accumulated a total of 76 bonus points. They were followed by TEM Entertainment and Faze Clan with 68 and 67 points, respectively.

The teams have been awarded bonus points on the basis of their performance during the League Stage. These squads will carry these points into the Grand Finals of the tournament.

Performance overview of teams in PMPL SEA Championship Fall 2022 League Stage

Thai teams dominated the League Stage, with six out of the top seven teams from the region.

Apart from the top three squads, Bacon Time, another popular Thai team, finished in the 4th spot with 540 points. The team displayed their prowess and crossed 200 points in the first week itself, after which they consolidated their position on the points table.

Aerowolf Limax, a team from Indonesia, was the lone fighter from the region among several Thai teams. The squad played extremely well and secured the fifth spot with 508 points to their name.

Winners of PMWI 2022, Vampire Esports, had a fabulous start to the championship as they stood at the second spot after week 1. However, the squad failed to keep the momentum going and faltered heavily during the second and third week. However, the team still managed to hold on to a respectable sixth place.

Among the teams who barely made the cut for the PMPL Grand Finals were BOOM Esports from Indonesia and Eagle Esport from Vietnam.

Boom Esport had a poor start to their campaign as they were unable to cross the 100-point mark in the first week. The team, however, bounced back during the second and third week and ended up in the 15th spot with 389 points.

Eagle Esport, on the other hand, had a fabulous start in the first week. However, the team succumbed to the pressure of the tournament later on. Despite this, their performance in the first week made up for their lackluster plays in later games as they qualified for the Grand Finals at the 15th spot.
