Fans of fighting games worldwide have eagerly been waiting for the Street Fighter 6 open beta to go live. Although there is still some time left for the full game's release, this open beta should give fans a taste of what they can expect once the title releases on all platforms. However, many players are facing issues when it comes to logging into the game.

It's not odd to see such problems arise during beta phases. In fact, these tests are an essential part of the process when it comes to identifying and fixing issues that players report. The "communication error" is one such error that has been reported, and here are some potential workarounds for the same.

What causes "communication error" in Street Fighter 6 beta

Given that the Street Fighter 6 beta has just gone live, it's difficult to say what's causing the error. However, given how popular the game is, and that a lot of players from around the globe are trying to log in at the same time, it's probably a server-side issue.

Given that it's hard to say if it's a server-side issue there are a few workarounds that you can try using. For starters, you can restart the game and the client you used to launch the game. In the event of such bottlenecks, the servers might stabilize in a few minutes, but the client might take time to register the logins. So restarting your client could fix this issue.

You could also try restarting your network devices. This includes your router and/or your modem. Restarting your device will force it to reestablish the connection to the servers, and in many cases, this works. If these two steps don't yield results, it's probably a server-side issue, and you will have to wait for the servers to stabilize. While you wait for the Street Fighter 6 servers to stabilize, here are some other fighting games that you can try.

Considering that Street Fighter 6 is a major release, it's only natural that many players might want to try this game out before they go ahead and buy the full version. Keeping that in mind, there might be a bottleneck because players worldwide are trying to log in at the same time. It's recommended that you wait for an hour or two before trying to log back in.

Having said that, this open beta can be considered a stress test as well. It's a good thing that Capcom is conducting such a stress test during the open beta itself. Given that multiplayer is a major element of Street Fighter 6, the developers wouldn't want issues such as the "communication error" to appear once the game finally launches.
