Top 5 Single Player Games still to come in 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One

If you thought that single player games would be dead by 2019, you're dead wrong. If you thought that all the good single player titles such as Resident Evil 2 Remake, Devil May Cry 5 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice have already been released and there's nothing more left for the likes of us, you couldn't have been more wrong in your entire life.

Just so that we are clear, single player games are well alive and there's never been a better time this generation for the single player games and the gamers to thrive. There are plenty more to come this year, each game offering something different unique to this ever-growing thirsty audience who are just looking to end their hectic day with a good old beer can in their hands a single player game with a strong emphasis on storytelling, innovative and fun gameplay, and a world where they could get lost to.

Here are the top 5 single player games yet to come in 2019. Although keep in mind that all the games that I'll be mentioning down below either have a confirmed release date or at least a 2019 release window.


#5 Days Gone:-

Days Gone is an upcoming open world survival horror game which is developed by Sony Bend Studios and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. T

In Days Gone, you play as a drifter/bounty hunter known as Deacon St.John, who is one of the very few survivors of a freaker outbreak. Freakers serves as zombies in the world of Days Gone and are ferocious creatures who come in different shapes and sizes.

Days Gone is a story of hope and survival, one that takes us through Deacon's past and his agonizing present as he tries to find a balance between the two.

Days Gone is out 26 April 2019 only on the PS4.

#4 Borderlands 3:-(PC, PS4, Xbox One)

After a gap of 7 years, Borderlands is back with Borderlands 3 which serves as a direct sequel to it's 2012's predecessor. Featuring 4 new playable characters which are- Amara, FL4K, Moze and Zane, each having their own set of skills, weapons and personality.

Borderlands 3 features two main antagonists which are the Siren Twins and both of them will have different Siren abilities, making the encounters a little more complex than usual. Borderlands 3 is also set to feature about 1 billion guns which is a benchmark for this looter shooter series.

Borderlands 3 is out on PC(Epic Store), PS4 and Xbox One on 13 September 2019.


#3 The Outer World:-(PC, PS4, Xbox One)

The Outer World is an upcoming story-driven role-playing game from Obsidian Entertainment. Carrying around the DNA of Bethesda's Fallout games, The Outer Worlds focuses its attention in presenting a branching storyline, replayability, interesting diversified cast of characters, dark humour, companions and cool looking weapons to shoot anyone and everyone in the game. The Outer Words is set to re-define the roots of an RPG.

Set in alternate future, where the US President William McKinley was not assassinated by an anarchist in 1901, The Outer Worlds will feature multiple corrupted corporations fighting for power and control. The game's majority of the section will take place on the planet called Halcyon, but there are other areas that can be explored as well.

Unlike other games of the genre, The Outer Worlds won't let you romance your companions which comes as a shock to many. The game is also not an open world game, although it will feature multiple open spaces to explore.

The Outer Worlds is out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One sometime in 2019.

#2 Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order:-(PC, PS4, Xbox One)

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is an upcoming single player third person action adventure game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA.

Set after the events of Star Wars: Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, when the Emperor has branded the Jedi as traitors and issued an order called 66 which was meant for hunting and killing the remaining Jedi. Considered as a dark time in Star Wars timeline, Jedi Fallen Order puts you into the shoes of Cal Kestis, a survivor of Order 66 and a Padawan who is yet to finish his Jedi training.

Along with his droid companion BD-1, Cal must evade his enemies in a globe-trotting adventure where he will indulge in melee combat learn force abilities as well perform numerous platforming puzzles throughout the game as he becomes the Jedi.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order is out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 15 November 2019.


#1 Control:-( PC, PS4, Xbox One)

The creators of Max Payne, Alan Wake and Quantum Break brings us another third person time-bending shooter in the form of Control. Developed by Remedy Entertainment and published by 505 Games, Control is a supposedly a modern Metroidvania game set in 'the oldest house' of Federal Bureau of Control.

Control puts you into the shoes of Jesse Fayden, who after a sudden turn of events is made the newest director of the Bureau and is forced to confront the supernatural enemy Hiss who has taken over the Bureau.

The game's main weapon is a service weapon which Jesse wields and can be transformed into multitudes of different forms for different gameplay scenarios. In Control, Jesse will also have access to various supernatural abilities such as telekinesis, levitation etc, which can be upgraded via a skill tree.

Control is out on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on 27 August 2019.
