Defier's Thorn is the latest 5-star sword and the best-in-slot weapon for Cartethyia in Wuthering Waves. This particular armament is catered towards the Blessed Maiden, coming in with powerful passive boosts that will allow you to dish out a ton of damage. While the weapon is quite strong on Cartethyia, it is not that great for the other sword users in the game.

The latest 5-star sword comes packing a powerful passive that is catered towards the Blessed Maiden of Rinascita, Cartethyia. Here are the main and sub-stat of the weapon at its maximum level of 90:

  • Main stat: 412 ATK
  • Sub-stat: 72.2% HP

The Defier's Thorn has the following passive stat:

Max HP is increased by 12%. 15 seconds after casting Intro Skill or Basic Attacks, ignore 8% of the target's DEF when dealing damage. If the target has at least 1 stack of Aero Erosion, the DMG taken by the target is amplified by 20%

How to obtain

The sword is currently available as part of the featured weapon convene, and you can obtain it by spending your Forging Tides or Astrites. If you plan on pulling the weapon, make sure to do it quickly, as the banner is available for a limited time.

The banner will be available from June 12 to July 3 and comes with a 100 percent drop rate, so you will be guaranteed to get the weapon once you summon a total of 80 times.

If you are also farming the material for Cartethyia's skill in Wuthering Waves, it is ideal to use the former domain, as it drops the Tidal Residuum that you will need to upgrade the Blessed Maiden.

The Howler Cores are a common enemy drop that you can obtain by defeating certain enemies in Jinzhou. You can also obtain them via supply packs, which you typically get from the Pioneer Podcast Battle Pass.
