Abu Dhabi Grand Prix : A thrilling Climax on the cards

Come this Sunday and the world would witness the crowning of a new F1 driver’s champion at Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will serv as a perfect recipe for an ultimate showdown in front of motorsports fans . With the closest championship in a long long time , 4 drivers go in tonight with a hope of clinching the trophy even if practically the competition is between the championship leader Alonso and the Red Bull drivers .

The Yas Marinas circuit , a beautiful and magnificent circuit in the heart of UAE in the man made island of Ya Marina is probably the perfect place to host such a grand finale . Lat years its superlative track along with the race starting with a daytime sunshine and extending late into the Arabian sunset , the glamour and beauty of this race is unparalleled , even better than the likes of the Singapore Grand prix . And with the likes of Webber , vettel , Hamilton and Alonso all gunning for glory , its easy to guess why the centre of motorsport attraction has suddenly shifted to the deserts .

The Friday Practise season saw Hamilton dazzle through the circuit and clinch top position with the Red Bulls close by . Alonso had a forgettable Friday practice session but the Ferrari has been predicted to struggle in this track and it all boils down to the pedigree and the masterclass of the Spaniard to clinch the title . However the main story which is buzzing through the world is about whether Red Bull favourite Vettel help his fellow team mate Webber in clinching the title . Surely , if Vettel doesnot have a chance to win , it would be a fair thing to do . Alonso will also not have any reasons to complain as a gifted 7 points from Massa mid season ensures his slender lead at the top of the table .

Looking at the permutations and the combinations , its 25 points for a first place , 18 for a second and a 15 for a third . So it is imperative that if Alonso manages a to two position he will win the championship . hence it is upto the Red Bull guys to ensure they remain above him in the qualifying . Don’t count out Hamilton as he might be the big spoiler if not the winner .

Whatever it might be , the stage is set for the biggest race of the career for most of these men . I would however want Webber to win the show for his perseverance and his class . Surely its now or never for him .
