#3 Chirs Amon - 11 Podiums

Grand Prix of Great Britain
Chirs Amon secured 11 podiums in his Formula 1 career

Chris Amon managed 11 podium finishes but could never get on to the top step of the podium during his long Formula 1 career.

The New Zealander's first podium came during the 1967 Formula 1 season while driving for the Ferrari. Amon secured four podiums that year to finish the championship in the fifth place. Interestingly, his first podium came at the iconic Monaco Grand Prix. Multiple retirements in the next two seasons meant that he would step on the podium only twice.

Driving for March Engineering, Amon's second-place at the 1970 Belgium Grand Prix was heartache for all the fans who were expecting his first win as the New Zealander crossed the line just 1.1 seconds behind BRM's Pedro Rodriguez. He went on to secure two more podiums that year and finished the championship in the eighth place.

His last podium came at the 1972 French Grand Prix, where he finished the race third despite starting from the pole position and setting the fastest lap of the race. Amon raced sporadically after that season and finally retired from the sport after the 1976 Formula 1 season.
