Nick Heidfeld could not convert a pole position into a race win at the 2005 European Grand Prix

Nick Heidfeld tops the list with thirteen podiums to his name. The German driver is no longer a part of Formula 1, and currently plies his trade in the Formula E Championship, which means that his record is going to stay for the test of time. Interestingly, Heidfeld hasn't secured a win in the Formula E championship yet.

Nick Heidfeld's first Formula 1 podium came at the 2001 Brazilian Grand Prix while driving for Sauber. The German finished the rain-affected race in the third place, behind David Coulthard and Michael Schumacher.

Heidfeld had to wait until 2005 to get on the podium once again. Driving for BMW from 2005 to 2009, the German managed to grab ten podium finishes along the way. The 2005 European Grand Prix was the German's best chance to win a Grand Prix as he had started the race from the pole position. However, Heidfeld finished second to Fernando Alonso, who won the race from the sixth place on the grid.

In his last Formula 1 season, Heidfeld finished third at the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix before parting ways with the company later that season.
