Hamilton won an eventful race

This particular race in 2012 was remembered as much for Hamilton's tenacity as it was for the bizarre antics of former World Champion Michael Schumacher. The German pulled off a number of head-scratching moves throughout the race which resulted in an extra formation lap for the rest of the field.

Nonetheless, Hamilton drove from pole position all the way to the chequered flag with Kimi Raikkonen posing the only real problem in his competitive Lotus car. Despite numerous overtaking attempts, the Finn was unable to get past his British counterpart and the race ended with Hamilton on the top of the podium.
