F1 Winter Testing: Red Bull's Christian Horner takes digs at Ferrari
Red Bull's team principal Christian Horner has taken a massive dig at Scuderia Ferrari's pre-season tests. As soon as last season's runners-up gave their times on the board, Christian Horner threw his jabs and hooks in on their time. This dominance from the Italian team led Christian Horner to defend his team with his words rather than letting his car do the talking.
With his Bulls jacket on, and abnormally large headphones on his neck, he said to the Spanish Newspaper Marca:
If there was a winter world championship, Ferrari would win it every year, But you get no points in the winter. Clearly they have arrived here with a strong car, but these are not even close to the temperatures we will race at.
Our beloved Christian Horner wasted no time in throwing some more hooks at Ferrari. He further said:
There is a change of rules this year, so the winter test times are somewhat confusing right now. I don’t think they give us a good idea of what the first race will be like, although I could be wrong. But the tests can be deceptive.
After all this how could he forget about praising his team and Honda, the new engine supplier for Red Bull He said:
Our team was high on confidence ahead of the maiden season with Honda power. After a successful opening week with new partner Honda, we are looking forward to the season kicking off in Melbourne.
Both Ferrari and Red Bull will have high hopes for the upcoming season, with both sides seeing changes to their personnel. Mercedes have dominated the landscape for the last few seasons, and fans are craving a new challenger.
Ferrari does look strong just like last year but is Horner right? Or it is just another tactic to intimidate one another to force them to make a wrong move? Is 2019 going to be different from past years? Will the title change hands? We've said it in our words but now it is time for you people to decide and answer these questions.
