It's a stable that is easily the most spectacular one in the annals of Grand Prix racing. It's a name that's more than a brand name; rather an identity of success and a synonym of speed where Formula 1 is concerned.

And it is a team that has, for some strange reason, not been able to place a driver on the top step of the podium at the end a championship since 2007.

Ferrari continue to be a flawed enigma of sorts in the top echelons of Formula 1.

And 2019, most feel, may just be that season where the Italian racing team would be able to end the draught that's come to haunt their winning form, having lost to Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton on back-to-back occasions starting 2017 and 2018.

And here's some latest bit on a team that's always in the news and constantly in the popular imagination of people.

It appears that the Maranello-based outfit is planning to test the F1 car even before the first F1 test in 2019.

There's reason to believe that Ferrari's 2019 challenger may just make its debut a bit prior to the 2019 F1 tests that are slated to happen in the month of February.

On 15 February 2019, Ferrari are going to unveil the 2019 car, that's internally known as '670.'

The official launch will, as always be, at the Maranello headquarters in exactly 30 days from January the 15th.

But here's the key part. The team's plan is to run the car for the very first time on the track, two days later itself, in Spain.

This is interesting in the sense that Ferrari are planning to run the car prior to the start of the first leg of the four-day test, that's scheduled for 18th of February. Having said that, it's also worthwhile to note that should there be any delays in completing the planned promotional work on the morning of 17 February 2019, then that would only be completed post the first test.
