$300M worth Hamilton (according to Celebrity Net Worth) is the owner of quite a few classic and modern cars and supercars. While his collection includes the pinnacle of technology, the Mercedes AMG One, his garage also includes classics like the McLaren F1. Although sports cars and supercars are a big part of his career, he recently mentioned that he is not planning to purchase a new one anytime soon.

Stating that the last supercar he bought was the AMG One, he claimed that he has developed a love for art and is planning to invest more in that. Moreover, he stated that modern cars look "bit the same," and is more interested in the classic ones.

"The last car I bought was an AMG One, but it's also my last supercar for the time being," Lewis Hamilton said in an interview with Auto Motor Und Sport. "I'd rather spend my money on art now. I'm always discovering new artists, especially great black artists. Of course, I still enjoy looking at road cars. But modern cars all look a bit the same. It's a bit sad. I prefer classic cars in terms of sound and emotion."

Having won six World Championships with Mercedes, Hamilton will be driving for Ferrari in the 2025 season. The move was announced prior to the start of the current season.

Lewis Hamilton explained his "dream" move to Ferrari

Hamilton has been with Mercedes since the 2013 season, and has experienced immense success with the team in the turbo-hybrid era as their dominance took over the entire grid.

However, he has been far from winning a championship since the 2022 season. Although Mercedes is in the top four in terms of competition, its winning rate has largely reduced. Amid this, Hamilton was given a 1+1 contract in 2023, and using an exit clause, he signed a deal with Ferrari for the 2025 season.

In February 2024, he stated that the fans and the history associated with the Italian crew was a major reason for his move, and he also labeled it a "dream."

"Of course, I think for every driver growing up, watching the history, watching Michael Schumacher in his prime, I think probably all of us sit in our garage and see the screen pop up, and you see the driver in the red cockpit and you wonder what it would be like to be surrounded by the red," Hamilton said.

"You go to the Italian Grand Prix and you see the sea of red Ferrari fans and you can only stand in awe of that. It’s a team that’s not had huge success recently, since 2007, and I saw it as a huge challenge. Without a doubt, even as a kid, I used to play [on games] as Michael in that car, so it definitely is a dream and I’m really, really excited about it."

The Brit will replace Carlos Sainz in the team and partner with Charles Leclerc in the upcoming seasons. Sainz, meanwhile, will move to Williams Racing.
