Damon Hill had a five-word reaction to Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri's collision at the recently concluded Canadian GP. He reacted to the event, which bore an eerie resemblance to the 2011 incident involving Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, both of whom were driving for McLaren on the same track.
Norris and Piastri made contact while battling for P4 at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on Sunday, a move that ruined the former's race. Norris was looking for a gap to pass Piastri, but the latter closed the door in front of him, and as a result, Norris's car made contact with Piastri's MCL39's left rear.
This resulted in Norris' car rebounding and hitting the wall, losing the front wing, and ultimately leading to a DNF. Interestingly, this was the very track where Hamilton and Button (then McLaren drivers) made contact with each other in a rain-soaked Canadian GP 14 years ago.
In Lap 8 of that race, Hamilton and Button collided, which ruined Hamilton's race entirely. Button, on the other hand, went on to win the race, ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber of Red Bull Racing.
As a collage of the incidents has come to light in a video, Hill shared it from his official Instagram account and reacted to it. Taking to the Meta-owned platform, the 1996 F1 champion wrote:
"All a bit spooky this😳"

The collision on Sunday cost Lando Norris hugely as the British driver failed to pick up any points. Compared to his teammate, Piastri, who was already leading the championship, extended his lead further. Additionally, Max Verstappen and George Russell, two other title contenders this season, also trimmed their gap to the British driver.
Mercedes' Russell claimed the Canadian GP victory, ahead of Verstappen. The Briton's teammate, Kimi Antonelli, wrapped up the final podium place to give the Silver Arrows a double podium.
Lando Norris owned up to his mistake at the Canadian GP

Lando Norris admitted that he was at fault for the 2025 Canadian GP collision with teammate, Oscar Piastri. Speaking to the media in the post-race interview, here's what the McLaren driver said:
"Yeah I'm glad, I didn't ruin his race. Yeah but this was just more silly. This wasn't even like, it's racing - it was just silly from my part." (via Sky Sports)
Currently, Norris stands in P2 with 176 points after 10 races and two Sprints, whereas Piastri leads the championship with 198 points. Max Verstappen and George Russell are in P3 and P4, respectively, with 155 and 136 points.
