Ferrari team principal revealed his celebratory priorities when questioned about the team's chances to win the World Championship this season. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz brought the Italian crew their second 1-2 finish of the season during the F1 US Grand Prix.

Although the SF-24 looked to be the second fastest car throughout the weekend, a first-lap mishap between race leader Lando Norris and his championship rival Max Verstappen saw Leclerc taking the race lead. Soon, his teammate Sainz was able to catch up with Verstappen in P2 through strategy and both Ferraris led most of the race.

While the Maranello crew was celebrating, the question of them winning the Constructors' title was raised. When asked about the championship battle, team principal Frederic Vasseur seemed more focused on celebrating their victory at COTA.

"How do you see the championship battle?" the F1 Nation host asked Vasseur.
"Let me be focused on the party tonight!" Vasseur replied.

The follow-up question further deviated from the championship standing, as the host asked if he could be invited, to which Vasseur gave a hilarious reply.

Host: "Quickly, where are you going? Can we join you?"
Vasseur: "No."

Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc is quite optimistic for the team heading into the final five races of the season.

Charles Leclerc focused on the Constructors' title for Ferrari at the end of the season

Leclerc, who has earned three victorious in the season so far, feels that Ferrari could possibly win the Constructors' World Championship at the end of the season. He mentioned that the crew will have to work and yield results like they did in Texas and at the end of the season they might have the title.

"We've got to target winning the Constructors' title," Leclerc told the media in Texas. "It's an optimistic goal, but that's what we are here for. So, yeah, we'll do the math at the end of the season. Until then, I think the best thing we can do is to focus on our self and our own performance, just like we did this weekend."

"It's been a really good weekend for the team and for the Constructors' title. And we'll try and reproduce that as often as possible. And hopefully, at the end of the year, when we do the math, we will have won the Constructors' title," he added.

With their win in Austin, Ferrari are now eight points behind Red Bull in the Constructors' title. Meanwhile, McLaren has extended their lead over RBR in second place to 40 points.
