George Russell’s girlfriend, Carmen Mundt, reposted an image of them linking up with Thibaut Courtois and his partner, Mishel Gerzig. The couple enjoyed a star-studded meet-up with the Real Madrid goalkeeper during the recent Monaco Grand Prix.
The image, which was initially shared by the Mercedes-AMG team on Instagram, was subsequently reposted by Carmen on her story. The picture featured her and Russell with the Belgian shot-stopper and his partner on a balcony overlooking the iconic Monte Carlo circuit.

George Russell and his Spanish-born partner appear to be forging a friendship with Courtois, and earlier in February 2025, he also took a series of pictures with several Real Madrid stars — including the Belgian — when he visited the Santiago Bernabeu as part of a partnership between clothing brand Adidas and the Madrid-based club.
Shifting focus to the event that unfolded on track during the Monaco Grand Prix, although Russell appeared cheerful in the off-track photo, the British driver had little to smile about when it came to his performance during the Monte Carlo race. The former Williams Racing star finished two laps behind eventual race winner Lando Norris after he was handed a drive-through penalty for cutting the Nouvelle Chicane during the race.
Russell would eventually finish the Grand Prix in 11th place — equalling his worst finish of the 2025 Formula 1 campaign so far.
How Carmen Mundt reacted after George Russell took her for a hot lap during the Miami GP
Carmen Mundt reacted after experiencing a hot lap with George Russell during the 2025 Miami Grand Prix weekend. The partner of the Mercedes star shared her thoughts on social media following the thrilling lap ahead of the commencement of the race weekend.
The 27-year-old, who was collaborating with the Ritz-Carlton hospitality program, subsequently shared her reaction to the pulsating drive on Instagram. Posting a carousel of photos from the ride, she accompanied them with the caption:
“G taking me for a spin 🚀🌴🇺🇸”
Carmen Mundt, like several partners of other Formula 1 drivers, has often been a familiar face in the Formula 1 paddock. The Cadiz native has accompanied Russell to several races on the motorsport series calendar.
Turning attention to the Miami Grand Prix event, it indeed proved to be a race to remember for her partner George Russell, as the Mercedes driver climbed through the grid to finish on the podium at the Florida event.
The King's Lynn native had recorded a fourth-place finish during the Sprint race of the event, but improved on his performance during the main race to finish third behind the McLaren duo of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. The podium on the Florida streets was the Mercedes driver’s fourth of the 2025 campaign.
