“I love Italy, man... The fans for this team are the greatest by so far... It’s really just the love that everyone has for this team — it’s just unique.”
The Ferrari’s devoted supporters, known as the tifosi, are renowned for their passionate and unwavering support for the Maranello outfit. The Italian team’s supporters turned out in large numbers to cheer and welcome Lewis Hamilton in their unique style during his first home race at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix.
The seven-time world champion rewarded their enthusiasm with a strong performance, climbing up from a 12th-place start to finish the Grand Prix in fourth — his best race result with the team so far.

Lewis Hamilton was filled with delight following his maiden home race with the Scuderia Ferrari outfit at the 2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The 40-year-old described his outing at the Imola circuit as one of his highlights of the year.
The former Mercedes driver, who was racing in front of the tifosi for the first time, pulled off a memorable forward-moving performance on the day. He climbed over seven places to finish just outside the podium at the Emilia Romagna event.
Detailing his thoughts following the conclusion of the event, Lewis Hamilton, during his interaction with the media, expressed delight at racing in front of the Italian fans.
“I mean, obviously I couldn’t hear them, but to drive in front of the Tifosi today [and] this weekend has been a highlight of the year so far,” he stated via the Formula 1 official website.
“There was a lot of pressure on us as a team, struggling through the year so far with the car and particularly with our qualifying, so to have such a strong race, to be moving forwards, making ground, it was such a great feeling.”
Lewis Hamilton, who continues to enjoy the support of the Italian faithful, will have his focus shifted to clinching his maiden Grand Prix podium finish at the upcoming Canadian race. His best race finish with the Ferrari team remains his Sprint race victory at the Chinese Grand Prix.
