Ralf Schumacher, brother of former F1 world champion Michael Schumacher, faced a challenging moment during the Miami Grand Prix earlier last week after being pushed over violently by security. The German demanded an apology and mentioned that the stewards did not manage things well in the US.

The first round of the three United States GP on the F1 calendar this year was good enough for many with the amazing attractions on the track and the many colours of Florida that could be seen around the paddock. While former F1 driver Ralf Schumacher, too, had a fairly good time, he had some rage to share about the management.

He revealed that the security pushed him very hard which hurt him and demanded an apology from the authorities. GPBlog quoted him:

"The security pushed me over so brutally that it hurt me a lot. We'll forget about the scratches, but it's just not done that way. I expect an apology."

He added that Formula 1 stewards are 'disproportionate' while managing the races in the US, and while this might be forgotten by him, it should not be repeated:

"But it's much more important that something like this doesn't happen again. The stewards handle things disproportionately in the USA. They don't know their way around and don't know how the interaction in Formula 1 works."

Was Michael Schumacher's son under pressure while racing in Formula 1?

A difference between the Miami GP in 2022 and in 2023 was Mick Schumacher, Michael Schumacher's son, was not on the track but in the Mercedes garage.

This happened after Haas didn't extend his contract and Mercedes signed him as their third driver. His performance in the previous season with the American team Haas wasn't as good as his teammate, but he had still improved.

Yet, his contract wasn't extended. It was thought that this was because of the expectations he was carrying. Being the son of Michael Schumacher, a seven-time world champion and one of the most successful drivers in the history of Formula 1, sure had its pressure, but it also speculated that this very pressure affected his performance.
