F1 fans reacted to a picture of Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, and Nico Hulkenberg on a plane ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix this weekend. The three-time world champion has been embroiled in a title fight with the McLaren driver ever since the Miami GP when the latter took the first win in his career, after which the British team got more competitive.

After the duo's collision in the Austrian GP that took Norris out of the race and left Verstappen with damage, there were some reports of potential rifts between them. But ahead of the race in Baku this weekend, the two title rivals were spotted arriving on a plane together with the Haas F1 driver.

Verstappen shared the picture of the three on Instagram and wrote:

"See you soon Baku!"

F1 pundit gives his take on Max Verstappen-Lando Norris title battle

F1 pundit Andrew Benson said he believes there is a big chance of the title battle between Max Verstappen and Lando Norris going down to the final race in Abu Dhabi:

"There is a much bigger chance of the Drivers' Championship going to the wire than there was three or four races ago. And the fact McLaren themselves now recognize that explains why they are actively admitting they will discuss whether to ask Oscar Piastri to back Lando Norris for the remaining eight races, where feasible.

"It is still a tall order - Norris needs to claw back on average nearly eight points a race to beat Max Verstappen by the end of the year. But it's possible."

Verstappen leads second-placed Lando Norris by 62 points in the Drivers' Championship with eight races and three sprints remaining in the 2024 season. The Red Bull driver has failed to win a race since the Spanish GP in late June and has been consistently beaten by the McLaren driver since the Hungarian GP before the summer break.
