Apart from being Formula 1's G.O.A.T, Lewis Hamilton is also a fashion icon in the motorsport. Designer Clarence Ruth recently spoke about the British driver's impact on Ferrari's fashion next year with Motorsport.com.
Hamilton joining Ferrari in 2025 has been one of the biggest news in the F1 world this season. This decision will have an impact beyond the sport. Being a Mercedes-AMG driver, the 7x world champion has been closely associated with brands such as Tommy Hilfiger and IWC Schaffhausen (both are partners of the Brackley-based team).
Along with teammate George Russell, Hamilton has been responsible for multiple F1-related collections for the clothing brand over the years. Meanwhile, Ferrari is also in a league of its own when it comes to fashion. The Italian squad has been associated with luxury brands such as Giorgio Armani, Ray-Ban, and Richard Mille.
Clarence Ruth, designer of the New York-based Cotte D'Armes, has collaborated with Mercedes-AMG and Tommy Hilfiger for a 10-piece limited-run collection. It includes Hilfiger's signature football jerseys and rugby shirts with design elements and logos from the German squad's race car, specifically its dashboard.
Speaking with Motorsport.com, Ruth explained why Lewis Hamilton's arrival at Ferrari will take both the racer and the team into “a luxury realm” in the fashion industry.
"He’s (Hamilton) so hyped about fashion... The way the fashion industry looks at Ferrari, I do think will be stepping it up to a luxury realm. I don’t necessarily compare it to (his work with) Tommy because it’s completely different, but I do think it’s going to bring in a different fashion crowd," he said.
The same was shared by the publication house on X. Here's a look at the post, captioned:

"He’s mega professional" - Ferrari's Fred Vasseur on keeping the door open for Carlos Sainz in the future, despite Lewis Hamilton's arrival in the team
With just eight races remaining in the 2024 Formula 1 season, Carlos Sainz is set to leave Ferrari to make way for the seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton. Ahead of Sainz's exit, team principal Fred Vasseur has praised the young Spanish racer.
Despite the setback of losing one of the most sought-after seats in F1, the Madrid-based driver has been performing at his best. Sainz has helped secure 184 points for the Italian outfit, allowing the team to close the gap with the Constructors' championship leader Red Bull Racing (Ferrari is 39 points behind the Austrian team).
Speaking with F1.com, Vasseur said he has huge respect for the 29-year-old driver's professionalism.
“I have huge respect for Carlos, for what he did for the team in the last years, but mainly the last two years with me... He was clearly part of the recovery of the team last year and this season he’s doing a very good job. I know perfectly that the situation was not easy at the beginning of the season, but he’s mega professional," he said.
The French engineer and Ferrari F1's boss added that he would maintain a good relationship with Sainz and that the doors would stay open, should the Spaniard choose to return to the Maranello-based squad in the future.
