Max Verstappen’s partner, Kelly Piquet, has delighted fans with photos of their newborn child, Lily. The 36-year-old took to her social media to post heartwarming pictures with her baby girl.
The images, which marked the first public photos of the newborn child, were posted by the Brazilian model on her Instagram. The snapshots, which feature Piquet carrying Lily, were accompanied by the caption:
“Just a little over a month since my heart experienced for the second time the most amazing love in the world 💕 Words can’t describe what it is to feel a love so profound. Becoming a mother again has reminded me of the beauty, strength, and softness that live within us. Thank you, my little one, for choosing me 💫”
Earlier in May, Max Verstappen and Kelly Piquet had announced the birth of their child in the lead-up to the Miami Grand Prix weekend. However, no official picture of young Lily had been shared by either member of the couple.
The pair has reportedly been in a relationship since 2020. Though they have often opted to keep their relationship away from the public spotlight, Piquet frequently attends Formula 1 races to support the Red Bull Racing star. She was most recently at the 2024 Qatar Grand Prix — a race Verstappen won a week after securing his fourth Drivers' Championship title.
Max Verstappen’s girlfriend has a slip of the tongue while speaking about marriage
Max Verstappen’s girlfriend had a slip-of-the-tongue moment while speaking about her relationship with the Formula 1 racer. The Brazilian model accidentally addressed her relationship with the Dutch driver as ‘married’ in an interview.
The 36-year-old columnist, who was present at the recent ICON conference hosted in Lisbon, Portugal, addressed the audience on the power of storytelling, among other things. Following her session, she interacted with the media, where she was greeted with a flurry of questions about her personal life. Speaking to Portuguese outlet TVI, as seen in a video shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Kelly Piquet fan, she accidentally stated that she was married to Verstappen.
“I breathe motorsport. It was something so natural and I ended up marrying an F1 pilot. I mean, I am not married yet... starting a family, yes. It wasn’t something intentional, it wasn’t something planned. I have had boyfriends who weren’t—it was fate,” she said [translated from Portuguese].
While Kelly Piquet and Max Verstappen have neither officially confirmed their marriage nor have they tied the knot, the mother of two has indeed largely been surrounded by motorsports. Her father, Nelson Piquet, is a three-time Formula 1 champion, her brother Piquet Jr. also raced in the open-wheel series, and her former partner Daniel Kyvat was also a driver for Red Bull Racing.
