As per the latest updates, Ferrari is preparing a major upgrade package to address their early season struggles. The Italian team made a mistake in their early development, which has cost them dearly all season. With Fred Vasseur and Co. all set to bring damage control upgrades, fans have differing views.

As the 2024 season unfolded, Ferrari emerged as the primary challenger to Red Bull's dominance. Their wins in Australia and Monaco further cemented their position and instilled hope among Tifosi. However, a wrong turn in terms of development seemingly halted their progress.

Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz have struggled to maintain their pace, as McLaren and Mercedes have made significant strides. Since Ferrari's last win, the two British teams have each secured two victories, relegating the Italian squad to fourth in the pecking order.

Consequently, a turnaround was the need of the hour, and the engineers at Maranello are all set for it.

Fred Vasseur recently opened up on Ferrari's upgrade trajectory and how the team is lining up upgrades to fight it out in the Constructors' Championship. The Prancing Horse team principal said that the team is maximizing their efforts to make amends.

"For sure, we are pushing like hell to bring something and we will do it as soon as possible," Vasseur said. "We have also I think a good sequence of tracks for us with Monza, Baku, Singapore… I think these are good tracks for the characteristics of the car."
“I think that the most important is to score points, and it was the target coming to Spa, to not lose points on McLaren and Red Bull, and we did it. It will be the same target in Zandvoort because I’m convinced that the next three or four races after these two will be much better for us," he added.

With 345 points, Ferrari is presently ranked third in the Constructors' Championship. They trail leaders Red Bull by 63 points and second placed McLaren by 21 points. However, they have a 79-point cushion over Mercedes, which somehow makes their P3 safe.
