Fantasy Cricket Tips

Emulating their male counterparts, the Indian Women are in a unique position of inflicting a clean sweep over the hosts, New Zealand with the third and final ODI set to take place in Hamilton on what should be a fine Friday morning. The Indians have strangled the Kiwis with spin in the middle overs with only Satterthwaite standing up to Poonam Yadav and Ekta Bisht. With only pride left to salvage, the New Zealand Women are sure to put it in a tough fight to avoid a rather disappointing white-wash.

Squads to choose from:

India Women:

Mithali Raj (c), Punam Raut, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, Harmanpreet Kaur, Deepti Sharma, Tanya Bhatia (wk), Mona Meshram, Ekta Bist, Mansi Joshi, Dayalan Hemlatha, Poonam Yadav, Rajeshwari Gayakwad, Jhulan Goswami, Shikha Pandey.

NZ Women:

Sophie Devine, Suzie Bates, Amy Satterthwaite (C), Lauren Down, Katie Perkins, Amelia Kerr, Bernadine Bezuidenhout (WK), Maddy Green, Hannah Rowe, Leigh Kasperek, Anna Peterson, Lea Tahuhu, Hannah Rowe and Holly Huddlestone.

Playing XI Updates:

India Women:

With the series all wrapped up, India will be aiming for a historic white-wash and could play the same side that has brought them success in the series. Smriti Mandhana and Mithali Raj guided the team through a tough period to ensure a win for the team and with the likes of Harmanpreet Kaur and Taniya Bhatia yet to be tested with the bat due to the performances of the top order, Team India is in a good space right now. Their bowling unit also looks fairly settled with Jhulan Goswami firing in the second ODI.

Possible XI: Mandhana, Rodrigues, Sharma, Raj(C), Harman, Hemalatha, Bhatia (WK), Goswami, Shikha, Bisht and Poonam.

New Zealand Women:

Not many changes are expected from the Kiwis with a change in attitude in the middle overs is what is desired as of now. Senior players, Bates and Devine haven't been providing the starts which have seen India dominate from the get-go. Katie Perkins could come in for Lauren Down, who has disappointed in the first two ODIs.

Possible XI: Bates, Devine, Perkins, Amy(C), Kerr, Green, Kasperek, Bernadine (WK), Peterson, Rowe and Tahuhu.

Fantasy Tips and Suggestions:

Wicket-keeper: Both Taniya Bhatia and Bernadine Bezuidenhout are batting quite deep down the order with Bhatia not having to wield the bat once in the series. Either of the two are decent options although Bernadine Bezuidenhout should nick this one.

Batters: Jemimah Rodrigues has been a real find for India over the past year and has impressed one and all with her performances. She is one to keep an eye on along with Suzie Bates and NZ captain, Amy Satterthwaite. Either of Harmanpreet Kaur or Smriti Mandhana would also suffice, considering possibility of India batting first in the final ODI.

All-rounders: Amelia Kerr is one of the best young all-rounders right now in women's cricket. Her leg-spin is a key asset to the New Zealand team and should serve her well in Hamilton. Deepti Sharma and Sophie Devine are also viable options to go for.

Bowlers: Poonam Yadav and Ekta Bisht are enjoying a great series and would be ideal to have in your team. Leigh Kasperek and Lea Tahuhu are also decent options to choose to complete the fantasy team.

Captain: Suzie Bates and Smriti Mandhana are the front-runners for captain with their ability known to one all at the top of the order. Amelia Kerr is also an option with her all round ability.

Fantasy Suggestion #1: Bernadine Bezuidenhout (WK), Suzie Bates, Harmanpreet Kaur, Amy Satterthwaite, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sophie Devine, Amelia Kerr, Shikha Pandey, Poonam Yadav, Leigh Kasperek and Ekta Bisht. Captain: Suzie Bates.

Fantasy Suggestion #2: Bernadine Bezuidenhout (WK), Smriti Mandhana, Suzie Bates, Amy Sattherthwaite, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sophie Devine, Deepti Sharma, Amelia Kerr, Poonam Yadav, Lea Tahuhu and Jhulan Goswami. Captain: Smriti Mandhana.
