#6 Alisson Becker- Roma to Liverpool- £56.25 million

A second consecutive Liverpool player. It was clear from the moment the Champions League final ended that the Reds needed to sign a new goalkeeper this summer. Loris Karius had a shocker in that final in Kiev and was responsible for two of the three goals his side conceded. That form continued in pre-season, and it was clear that his confidence had hit rock bottom, and the hunt for a replacement was on.
That replacement was Alisson, who joined from Roma, for what, for a short period of time, was the world record fee paid for a goalkeeper. The 25-year-old had an excellent year with Roma last season and was also Brazil’s number one at the World Cup in Russia. He has shown in his opening games with Liverpool that he is more than capable with the ball at his feet, but he will be judged more on his shot-stopping abilities.
