The Premier League trophy

The Premier League has never failed to excite the fans all over the world. We're just 5 game-weeks into the Premier League this season and there have been some amazing stats which show that this may be the most exciting season ever.

Without further ado, let's take a look at these stats.

#1

Antonio Conte has turned Chelsea's fortunes around since arriving at the club last season. The Italian won the Premier League in his first season.

The Blues, for the first time in the last 27 league games, failed to score at home. If this will affect the club or not, only time will tell.

#2

Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and West Ham United have all lost their opening three games this season. Apparently, all three are favourites to be relegated as things stand.

But stats say something else. Will history repeat itself, only time will tell. Crystal Palace are still yet to open their points scoring account.

The Golden boot award winner for the past 2 seasons, Harry Kane has been the most important player on the pitch for Spurs.

However, believe it or not, Harry Kane has never scored in the month of August. The player has failed to score despite having 42 shots this season!

Seems like clubs should be more afraid of Manchester United in the last 10 minutes of the game than in the rest of the game.

The Reds have a made a habit of scoring goals in the last 10 minutes of the game. A perfect example was this past weekend against Everton. The Red Devils scored their 1st goal in the 3rd minute and then scored the last 3 goals were scored in the final 7-8 minutes.

How often does a club have no shot on target? Rare, very rare. However, Arsenal had 0 shots on target against Liverpool. The Gunners lost 4-0 at the Anfield and had no shots on target. Worrying times for the club. Wenger would be hoping that this is not repeated again.

#6

Talk about speed. From one end of the field to another in just 12 seconds! Liverpool's pace is something which the other Premier League clubs would have difficulty keeping up to.

Brace yourself for more such goals this season.

#7

With the Wembley curse not looking to go away anytime soon, Dele Alli's goals come as a welcome sign for Tottenham.

Let's see how long Alli saves his club from losing at home this season.

#8

Sadio Mane has been a very good addition for Liverpool. Not only is the player fast, but he also possesses very good ball control and has a lethal shot.

The 25-year old became the 3rd Liverpool player to score in his first 3 Premier League games this season, scoring 3 in the process.

While many doubted his big-money move to Chelsea this summer, Alvaro Morata has already proved his doubters wrong. While he may not have scored as much as Romelu Lukaku, Sergio Aguero etc, he has shown that he means business.

So far the no 9 has scored 3 goals and assisted 2 more - all coming from his head!

#10

It is very rare that a player goes his whole playing career without receiving a single red card. However, Raheem Sterling, Manchester City's midfielder, went a whopping 162 games without getting a red card.

There are players who have received a red card on their debut and then there is Sterling.

#11

Chelsea have had a decent start and the stat mentioned above is worrying for the club. In just 5 league games so far, the Blues have received 11 yellow and 3 red cards! This is not a good sign for the club.

In the whole of the last season, Antonio Conte's side received 72 yellow cards. The men in Blue need to start getting more disciplined and commit fewer fouls.

#12

The French international seems to have found his way back in the Premier League. While many thought that the 21-year old may not be able to handle the huge pressure at Manchester United, he seems to have found his form again.

The attacker has scored the same number of goals in his last 5 league games as he did in the previous 19 - 3 goals! And it looks like he is just getting started. Manchester United fans might be in for a treat if he maintains his form.
