Reports: 14-year-old being scouted by Manchester City
What's the rumour?
HITC has reported via Swedish newspaper Norran that Manchester City and Leeds United are scouting the 14-year-old Naanol Tesfaye who could represent Ethiopia at the U-17 level in the CAF African Nations tournament. Ethiopian Football Federation president Juneidi Basha is also reportedly keeping tabs on the youngster himself.
The heart of the matter
Naanol Tesfaye, 14 years of age, was born in Skelleftea, Sweden. He then moved to Stockholm where he started his football career. He later joined Vasalund IF. Tesfaye was a rare talent who got noticed and scouted by IF Stockholm (Nordic FA) before moving back again to the Swedish side.
The 14-year-old who has already been approached to represent Ethiopia's U-17 squad as mentioned earlier. He also holds a Swedish passport, therefore Tesfaye could choose and is alternatively subject to representing Sweden at the national level.

Tesfaye was linked with Leeds United at the end of 2017 and still is. With Manchester City developing a habit of getting every player they set their sights on in recent years, Tesfaye could well and truly be headed to the Manchester Blue outfit.
