1. Emery’s trust in youngsters

Maitland-Niles, Saka, and Willock all had an excellent game and gave fans a glimpse of how the academy is performing and what holds the future for the club. Maitland-Niles was a constant threat on the left side and even on the right side when he was moved in the second half.

Bukayo Saka had an excellent chance to score his first goal for Arsenal in the second half but he fired straight at the keeper. He showed his pace and trickery throughout the match and he looked like a younger version of Gervinho. Willock had a steady game controlling the midfield with Elneny and didn’t offer much while going forward.

Nketiah came second to Maitland-Niles in terms of impact in the game as he created a lot of chances for Saka and Lacazette. With a series of matches coming up, Unai Emery would be confident that he has some youngsters in his squad whom he can fall back on, as and when required.
