It was a frustrating night for the Red Devils, where they dominated the ball for the majority of the game but failed to convert. Against a disciplined Burnley side, United were two goals down with just about 10 minutes to go. Ole's 8 match winning streak was staring a defeat at Old Trafford. However, in the 87th minute, Jesse Lingard drew a foul in the box and Paul Pogba converted it from the box.

It was still looking grim for the reds, but an Alexis Sanchez's header earned them a vital corner in the stoppage time. Victor Lindelof tapped the ball in, off a rebound following the corner, scoring his first goal for the club and a crucial one too.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw with the reds salvaging a point in the dying minutes of the game.

Solskjaer was quick to admit that they should have won it despite the comeback as he said, "The comeback was brilliant, the players have been asked about how they would react if they went 1-0 or 2-0 down so I felt the comeback was fantastic.

"We had loads of chances, loads of possession, we didn’t deserve to lose. But we did it to ourselves really."

A comeback that would be talked about for years to come, an effort that sent shivers down the spine of almost everyone and a win that should have earned Solskjaer one of the most prestigious jobs in England.

United were coming from a 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford in the first leg, they were without 10 men and it required a miraculous comeback for the Red Devils to go through to the round of 16. Never in 106 attempts in the competition, had a team progressed in a knockout tie after a 2-0 home defeat. But then, records are meant to be broken and as Solskjear said: 'Mountains are there to be climbed'

United were off to a perfect start with Lukaku capitalising on PSG's error to send United 1-0 up in the second minute of the match. PSG equalised quickly and looked set for more. United somehow held on, before Lukaku scored his third consecutive brace to give United a 2-1 lead in the first half.

The second half was pretty ordinary and United were staring down the barrel, before a last minute controversial VAR decision awarded United a penalty. Rashford held his nerve and fired United into the quarters from the spot.
